The UK Register makes a good case for letting the hounds of hell loose on Russia (read the story here). Too bad they didn't go far enough. Check out my legal justification for cyberprivateering (read it here).

Windows, The Most Hacked System On The Planet
The UK Register (read the story here) reports once again that Microsoft's Windows has had vulnerabilities that have been exploited by The Bad Guys. Oh, but here's a fix now that the cows are out of the barn door. Once again, POWER SHELL left a crack in the door.
Hell, I only used air-gapped Windows systems, one of which runs my CompuTrainer bicycle exercise system.

How I Saved My Old Dog's Life
A month ago, my nearly 16-year-old dog Chenoa lost the use of her hind legs, and my vet said X-rays showed a herniated disk in her spine. She yelped in pain as she tried to walk, and I faced putting her down to end her misery. So I called my sports chiropractor (a few thousand miles a year on my bike made him my personal lifesaver) and asked if he'd had any success with animals. Surprisingly, he had. With both dogs and cats!
Since Utah is only one of five states that allow chiropractors to work on animals without direct supervision of a vet, I took her in. He did miracles. Chenoa walked immediately. In four subsequent visits, she's again behaving like a little puppy, running around and going for half-mile walks with me. Turns out, this breed (a Bichon-Shih Tzu mix) is prone to late-life spine problems.
I don't know how much longer I'll have my little buddy, but I thank both my supportive vet and a gifted chiro for adding to my time with Chenoa. So if you have an aging companion with similar problems, see if your vet will recommend a chiropractor. My own vet, realizing that she was likely at the end of her life, said, "It couldn't hurt."
I'll let you know how long we've extended my little dog's life.
