IMHO, Quantum Computing Will Kill Banking as we Know It

Today's UK Register is the first to break the dilemma of Quantum Computing and banking (read it here).

Surprisingly, it's Singapore that is leading the charge to educate the world. Specifically in the article, they lay out the beginnings of their case:

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) advised on Monday that financial institutions need to stay agile enough to adopt post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and quantum key distribution (QKD) technology, without significantly impacting systems as part of cyber security measures.

Maybe there is finally an application for the block chain propeller heads to glom onto. And even then, I believe state actors with malicious intent can bring down the whole banking system.

Thoughts?
